Spectrum Internet Sponsors the Devauden Cross-Country races
Spectrum Internet were very pleased support the Devauden Cross-country Races 10k race over May Bank Holiday weekend, in their third year as sponsors.
Record numbers of runners braved the rain to take part in the races, which were run entirely on woodland tracks and paths in an area of outstanding natural beauty and raises funds for The Hood Memorial Hall in Devauden. The overall winners were Andrew Stephens in a time of 37.42 and, Nicola Brookland in 40.25 in the ladies race. The event was followed by a traditional May Day celebration on the Devauden Village Green with dancing around a Maypole to the folk music of “Life of Riley.”
The village was a broadband ‘not-spot’ with several residents barely managing connections of 1/2 mbps before Spectrum Internet were able to bring superfast speeds of up to 30mbps to residents, who are clearly superfast in more ways than one!
